Our flights are booked - Ecuador here we come!

So, Greg and I have booked our flights - we are going to Ecuador!

Here are the details of our flights:

Depart Vancouver  -  August 8th, 6:22am (ugh), UA1278  to  Houston, Texas
Depart Houston     -  4:04pm, UA1035 to arrive in Quito Ecuador at 9:24pm

Depart Quito          -  September 1st, 6:35am (ugh), UA1036 to Houston, Texas
Depart Houston      -  2:25pm, AC8105 to Calgary, Alberta
Depart Calgary       -  9:15pm, AC229 to arrive in Vancouver at 9:40pm

The cost  =  $1187.59 per person

Booked via Orbitz - which does have a refund policy where it will refund any difference in price if someone books the same flight as you for less money before you depart.

The return flight can be done in two flights rather than 3, but this itinerary is quite nice, since there is no really long layover between flights.

Please note - there were some cheaper flights that were going via Atlanta, but the layover was only 40 minutes. Please DON'T book a flight with such a short layover, since you are likely to miss your connecting flight.

Time to Book Those Flights!

Hi All,

Please feel free to post your flight details, including departure/arrival dates so that other people can see who is travelling when.

Also, it would be great if you can give details of good prices that you have  found, or useful websites that you have used or any other help or advice that you have.

We would really like to see people travelling together and hopefully no-one will have to travel alone, even if you are planning on arriving early or leaving later than the actual field course dates. Remember, you have to be in Quito by the 9th August and you cannot leave before the 24th August.
